Dr David Calkins M.D.
Dr Calkins comes to us from Belen, New Mexico. Raised on the Zuni reservation and in the small town of Belen, he attended the U.S. Military Academy and served 12 years in the U.S. Army before attending the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He joined the U.S. Navy and served as a family physician, Flight Surgeon and Anesthesiologist on both land and sea, with the 5 th Fleet Hospital and on the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Carl Vinson for 15 years, before retiring to perform a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management. He lives with his wife and two children in Albuquerque while occasionally serving on humanitarian missions to other countries with “Operation Smile” and trips to build fresh water wells in Central America. His interest in Wellness and Longevity based medicine has developed over the past two decades and he receives great satisfaction assisting others with their health and wellness.
